About Sri Bala Venkateshwara Swamy Devasthanam

According to local oral tradition and devotional belief, the sacred site of Sri Bala Venkateshwara Swamy Devasthanam is believed to have roots extending back many centuries.

The temple is said by local devotees to have existed from an ancient period associated in local memory with the Chola era. However, formal historical records documenting the original establishment of the temple are presently unavailable.

For generations, people in the surrounding villages have preserved a beautiful spiritual tradition associated with this sacred place.

According to this traditional belief, Lord Venkateshwara, during His divine childhood, is believed to have stayed in this region before ultimately making Tirumala His eternal abode.

The name 'Bala Venkateshwara Swamy' is traditionally associated with this belief — referring to the divine form of Lord Venkateshwara as a child.

Devotees believe that this sacred connection gives the temple a special place in the spiritual landscape surrounding Tirupati.

Over the years, the temple site became neglected and fell into an abandoned state. Despite the passage of time, the devotional memory of the sacred site continued among local people.
